+ + | CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS | | | | TTCN-3 User Conference 2011 (T3UC 2011) | | www.ttcn3uc.eu | | June 7-9, 2011, Bled, Slovenia | | | + + IMPORTANT DATES Submission of presentation and tutorial abstracts: Thursday, February 3, 2011 Notification of acceptance: Thursday, March 3, 2011 Submission of full presentations: Thursday, May 5, 2011 Conference dates: Tuesday-Thursday, June 7-9, 2011 OBJECTIVE The Testing and Test Control Notation version 3 (TTCN-3) is a well established and mature testing technology. The flexibility and adaptability of the language have led to its rapid deployment in the domains of telecommunication, automotive, medical, aerospace, transportation, and others. In addition, its use has expanded from functional conformance testing to cover other testing kinds such as load, performance, or interoperability testing as well. Identifying future challenges of testing is and has always been a key concern to keep TTCN-3 as a modern and innovative testing technology and thereby protect existing investments in TTCN-3. This year's conference will address the future of testing explicitly in its theme and wants to raise awareness to the challenges it imposes on TTCN-3. The theme of T3UC 2011 encourages TTCN-3 users, tool developers, and researchers to present and discuss their views on how TTCN-3 can address the future challenges of testing. T3UC 2011 will be held in Bled, Slovenia - a country at the heart of Europe with a prospering IT industry - which offers an ideal opportunity for testing experts, tool providers, and users from the whole world to come together and share experiences as well as to promote and ensure the continued progress of TTCN-3. The 10th edition of T3UC is co-organized by Sintesio, Slovenia and the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI). It will feature tutorials and presentations from members of the TTCN-3 user community as well as keynotes from invited speakers. Topics of interest for 30 minute presentations (incl. questions) and 2-4 hour tutorials include (but are not limited to): * Current and future challenges of testing with TTCN-3, e.g. o New testing requirements from emerging technologies and new application areas (e.g. virtualization, cyber-physical systems), o New development paradigms (e.g. model-driven engineering), o Usage of TTCN-3 in new development processes (e.g. agile processes, open source development); * Practical experiences of using TTCN-3 in industry; achievements from different application domains such as o CT (mobile and broadband telecommunication, telematics), o Intelligent Transport Systems (e.g. vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle- to-roadside communication, toll collection), o Transportation (automotive, aerospace, rail), o Medical systems and eHealth, o IT systems (Web services, cloud computing); * Experiences from applying TTCN-3 to all kinds of testing such as conformance, interoperability, performance, load, stress, and security testing; * Practical results from integrating TTCN-3 into existing test platforms and test devices; * Achievements in integrating software design and testing methods using TTCN-3; * Evaluations of TTCN-3 based testing solutions, also in comparison with other testing technologies; * Experiences in training and educating in TTCN-3. SUBMISSION DETAILS Proposals for 30 minute presentations (incl. questions) and 2-4 hour tutorials on the topics listed above are solicited. Presentations that cover the theme of this year's conference are preferred, but other proposals are welcome, too. A proposal for a presentation or a tutorial shall be not longer than two A4 pages and must be written based on the appropriate template that can be found here: www.ttcn3uc.eu/upload/TemplatePresentationT3UC2011.doc www.ttcn3uc.eu/upload/TemplateTutorialT3UC2011.doc Proposals in PDF format shall be submitted via the conferencing system EasyChair: www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=t3uc2011 The program including the slides of accepted presentations will be provided to the conference participants on a CD and appears later on the TTCN-3 community web site: www.ttcn-3.org/.
