ETSI

The ETSI produces globally-applicable standards for Information and Communications Technologies (ICT), including fixed, mobile, radio, converged, broadcast and internet technologies. ETSI is the owner of the TTCN-3 technology and also one of its major users. ETSI standardizes tests for a wide varity of communication technologies in different domains.

3GPP - 3rd Generation Partnership Project

The 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) unites six telecommunications standard development organizations (ARIB, ATIS, CCSA, ETSI, TTA, TTC) focussing on mobile broadband systems. Since the completion of the first LTE and the Evolved Packet Core specifications, 3GPP has become the focal point for mobile systems beyond 3G. 3GPP uses TTCN-3 for standardizing conformance test suites.

TCCA - TETRA + Critical Communications Association

The TETRA and Critical Communications Association provides a forum for all those that have an interest in the provision of wireless communications in a mission critical or business critical environment. The TCCA continues to support and promote the use of TETRA technology and is also driving industry synergy in the development of future mobile broadband capability for the users and providers of critical communications. The TCCA uses TTCN-3 for test automation of their TETRA interoperability certification.

OMA - Open Mobile Alliance

OMA is the focal point for the development of mobile service enabler specifications, which support the creation of interoperable end-to-end mobile services. OMA drives service enabler architectures and open enabler interfaces that are independent of the underlying wireless networks and platforms. OMA creates interoperable mobile data service enablers that work across devices, service providers, operators, networks, and geographies. OMA develops TTCN-3 test specifications, encourage third party tool development, and conduct test activities that allow vendors to test their implementations.

ITU-T - ITU Telecommunication Standardization Sector

The International Telecommunication Union - Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) as the creator of global infocommunications standards in Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) infrastructure has approved the ETSI TTCN-3 specifications as Z.160 series.

EUROCONTROL

EUROCONTROL is the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation, is an intergovernmental organisation made up of 39 Member States and the European Community. Air traffic management (ATM) is about the process, procedures and resources which come into play to make sure that aicraft are safely guided in the skies and on the ground. EUROCONTROL uses TTCN-3 for conformance testing of VoIP in ATM. 

MOST Cooperation - Media Oriented Systems Transport

MOST – Media Oriented Systems Transport – is the de-facto standard for multimedia and infotainment networking in the automotive industry. The MOST Cooperation is the organization through which the technology is standardized and refined so that it continues to stay abreast of the latest technology requirements. The MOST Cooperation uses TTCN-3 for MOST profile compliance testing.

AUTOSAR - Automotive Open System Architecture

AUTOSAR (AUTomotive Open System ARchitecture) is a worldwide development partnership of car manufacturers, suppliers and other companies from the electronics, semiconductor and software industry. The AUTOSAR standard will serve as a platform upon which future vehicle applications will be implemented and will also serve to minimize the current barriers between functional domains. It will, therefore, be possible to map functions and functional networks to different control nodes in the system, almost independently from the associated hardware. AUTOSAR defined TTCN-3 based conformance tests for the AUTOSAR Basic Software a standardized software layer, which provides services to the AUTOSAR Software Components and is necessary to run the functional part of the software.

 Network Test Automation Forum

The Network Test Automation Forum (NTAF), founded in 2010, is a nonprofit international industry alliance, with the objective to promote interoperability of commercial network testing tools and testing infrastructure, by defining and facilitating adoption of technical specifications.

On the annual face-to-face meeting held in September, 2013  in Westford,  MA,  Ericsson presented a solution for conformance test of NTAF standards using the TTCN-3 language.
The proposal and demonstration was very favorably received.
